Before you purchase your burial lot or monument, you should know and consider the cemetery's
restrictions and regulations. Some cemeteries do not allow upright monuments in a given section. In
such a section only the use of a lawn level or grass marker will be permitted. Likewise, often a certain
section will be dedicated to upright monuments only. Even the engraving on the memorial can be
affected. For example, certain cemeteries require a religious emblem. As you can see, the type, size,
